المستخلص: لا شك أن المهنة أو الحرفة لها دور في تشكيل ألفاظ ومنطق صاحبها، وهو يستقي من البيئة المحيطة به وأدوات عمله ألفاظها، وهذا ما رأيناه من خلال ألفاظ كل حرفة ومهنة على لسان من ذكره الجاحظ في الرسالة، حتى إن تشكيل الفكر والعقل والصور البلاغية التي يستقيها من ألفاظ صناعته وبيئته، عرف ذلك الجاحظ فأراد أن يظهر للخليفة أن ما من يريد أن يكون قائدا عليه أن يلم بمن حوله، ولغته، وطريقة تفكير؛ حتى يتسنى له قيادته والسيطرة عليه وتوجيهه، كما أن هذه الرسالة أظهرت مدى سيطرة الألفاظ المعربة على معظم الحرف؛ لظهورها في غير البيئة العربية، فكان لنشأتها الأثر البالغ في الاحتفاظ بألفاظها، مع ظهور ما يقابلها في العربية من ألفاظ مترادفة، تنبئ عن أسباب وجود الترادف في العربية.

Thesis title: Al-Jahiz’ Epistle, "The Making of Leaders" Prepared by: Associate Professor/ Abdo Zidan Ali, Associate Professor of Linguistics - Faculty of Education, Mansoura University. There is no doubt that a profession or a craft has a role in shaping the vocabulary and logic of its craftsman, and that the craftsman gets benefit from his surrounding environment and his working tools formulate his vocabulary. This is what we have seen through the vocabulary of each craftsmanship’s as quoted by Al-Jahez in his message. Hence, the formation of any thought, or mind or any rhetorical images is derived from the words of one’s craft and environment Al-Jahiz knew all of that; so, when he wanted to explain this to the Caliph that whoever wants to be a leader needs to know those around him, their language, and their way of thinking. In doing so, the leader can lead, control and guide them. This message also shows the level of prevalence of Arabicized words in most crafts, due to their originating in non-Arabic environments. So, the appearance of the new crafts played a major role in preserving their craft vocabulary. This co-existence of the two different sources of vocabulary leads to the appearance of synonyms in Arabic.
