In this article, we have sought to further investigate and reflect on the current concept of cultural identity and fashion. While cultural identity is partly part of the history of peoples and communities and is characterized by its sociocultural diversity, it should be stressed that fashion is based above all on the principle of creative clothing in line with market trends. It is one of the privileged areas of investigation for all research of both symbolic and real nature. It was in the light of its symbolic translation that a work of clothing creation could transmit, or grant a translation of cultural identity. Our article aim at developing the concept of cultural identity and studying fashion as a cultural industry before questioning the translatory potential of clothing design.
