يهدف البحث إلى دراسة فاعلية نموذج سوشمان الاستقصائي على مستوي الأداء المهارى لبعض مهارات كرة القدم الأساسية لتلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية. استخدم الباحثون المنهج التجريبي بالتصميم التجريبي ذو المجموعتين إحداهما تجريبية والأخرى ضابطة مستخدمين القياسات القبلية والبعدية للمجموعتين. وتم تطبيق البحث على عينة بلغت (21) تلميذ من مجتمع البحث لاستخدامهم كمجموعة تجريبية يطبق عليها النموذج التدريسي، كما قام الباحثون باختيار (٢١) تلميذ عشوائيا كمجموعة ضابطة يطبق عليها الشرح اللفظي وأداء النموذج العلمي، ثم قام الباحثون باختيار (١٠) تلاميذ عشوائيا لإجراء التجارب الاستطلاعية للبحث ومن خارج عينة البحث الأساسية.، وقد أسفرت اهم نتائج البحث إلى تفوق المجموعة التجريبية التي استخدمت نموذج سوشمان الاستقصائي على المجموعة الضابطة التي استخدمت الطريقة التقليدية، مما يدل على فاعلية النموذج وتأثيره على تعلم المهارات الأساسية لكرة القدم والتحصيل الدراسي- حيث ساعدت الدروس التعليمية المعدة باستخدام نموذج سوشمان الاستقصائي على مراعاة الفروق الفردية بين التلاميذ.
