المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور العمل التطوعي ومدى مساهمته في مواجهة جائحة كورونا من وجهة نظر المتطوعين، والتعرف على مدى إلمام المتطوعين بدورهم ومسؤولياتهم وقت جائحة كورونا، وتحديد المعوقات التي تواجههم، حيث تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي وكانت عينة الدراسة عشوائية بلغ عددها (٢٦٦) متطوعا، وطبق عليها استبانة من إعداد وتطوير الباحث. وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن مساهمة وفعالية العمل التطوعي ومشاركة الأفراد في مواجهة جائحة كورونا وبدرجة عالية، كذلك ضرورة وجود حوافز مالية ومكافآت للتشجيع على المشاركة في الأعمال التطوعية، وأن أفراد عينة الدراسة من المتطوعين لديهم درجة متوسطة من الوعي بواجباتهم ومسؤولياتهم وقت جائحة كورونا، حيث بلغ متوسط موافقتهم على محور إلمام المتطوعين بدورهم ومسؤولياتهم وقت جائحة كورونا (2.10 من 3.00)، كما توصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود مستوى عال من الرضا عن الدور التوعوي لوسائل الإعلام خلال الجائحة.

The study seeks to identify the role of voluntary work and its contribution in dealing with the Corona-virus from the volunteers’ perspective, as well as seeking to find out how volunteers are aware of their roles and responsibilities during the Corona-virus pandemic. It will further endeavor to find out potential hurdles that might face the use of descriptive survey method in the study. The sample of the study consists of 266 volunteers along with a questionnaire prepared by the researcher. The findings of the study suggest that volunteerism has shown a high degree of contribution and effectiveness in confronting the Corona-virus pandemic, and the need to provide financial incentives and rewards to encourage people to participate in voluntary work. The sample of respondents of volunteers in the study has shown a moderate degree of awareness of their duties and responsibilities during the Corona virus pandemic where their average responses, with regards to their understanding of their responsibilities during the pandemic, averaged (2,10 out of 3,00). Moreover, it was found that there is a high level of satisfaction about the education role made by public media outlet during the pandemic.
