المستخلص: هدف البحث إلى التعرف على الدلالات الرمزية للرسوم الصخرية في المملكة العربية السعودية (منطقة القويعية. نموذجاً) من خلال الوصف والتصنيف للخصائص الجمالية والتشكيلية للرسوم الصخرية (حقبة ما قبل الإسلام) في سياقها التاريخي والثقافي، كمدخل لتنمية الوعي الأثري لدى طالبات جامعة الملك سعود. تناولت أدبيات الدراسة الرسوم الصخرية للعصر الحجري القديم في المملكة، كذلك مداخل المحافظة على الفنون التراثية ودورها في تعزيز الهوية التاريخية، إلى جانب تحليل محتوى الدلالات الرمزية التلقائية في الرسوم الصخرية. استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لجمع البيانات عن عناصر الرسوم الصخرية، والمنهج شبه التجريبي، للتطبيق على عينة من (12) طالبة بواقع (6) طالبات لكلٍ من المجموعة التجريبية والضابطة، استخدمت الباحثة استبانة الدلالات الرمزية للرسوم الصخرية بهدف بناء مقياس الوعي الأثري. خرجت الدراسة بنتائج تحدد القيم الأثرية للرسوم الصخرية بالمملكة العربية السعودية من خلال ما تتضمنه من دلالات رمزية يمثلها البعد التاريخي والبيئة المكانية، أوصت الدراسة بتناول مواقع أثرية أخرى في المملكة بما يسهم بشكل مباشر في تعزيز الوعي الأثري.

The goal of the research is to identify the symbolic connotations of rock paintings in Saudi Arabia (Al-Quwaiya region) (Pre-Islamic era) by describing and categorizing the aesthetic and plastic characteristics of rock paintings in their historical and cultural context, as an entry point for the development of archaeological awareness among the students of King Saud University. The literature of the study dealt with the stone paintings of the Ancient Period in the Kingdom, as well as the entrances to the preservation of heritage arts and its role in promoting historical identity, as well as the analysis of the content of the automatic symbolic semantics in rock paintings. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to collect data on the elements of rock drawings, and the semi-experimental method, to apply to a sample of (12) students by (6) students for both the experimental and the control group, the researcher used the analysis of the content of the rock drawings in order to build the measure of wealth awareness. The study came out with results that determine the archaeological values of rock paintings in Saudi Arabia through its symbolic connotations represented by the historical dimension and the spatial environment, the study recommended addressing other archaeological sites in the Kingdom, which directly contributes to the promotion of archaeological awareness.
