المستخلص: This research shows ruling on joining Jumuah prayer and the 'Asr (Late-Afternoon) Prayer. The study aims to state knowing the time of the Jumuah prayer and the 'Asr (Late-Afternoon) Prayer, and whether the Jumuah Prayer is substitute for the Zuhr prayer; or, it is a separate prayer. It also aims to explore the Muslim scholars’ fatwa on joining Jumuah prayer and the 'Asr (Late- Afternoon) Prayer in travelling and not travelling, and to clarify the most correct view among the fatwas To arrive to its results, the study combines between Inductive method, Comparative method, and critical method. The study resulted in a number of facts including: time of the Jumuah Prayer is time of the Zuhr Prayer from the start to the end. Ruling for joining the Jumuah prayer and the 'Asr (Late-Afternoon) Prayer is based on the question (is the Jumuah Prayer substitute for the Zuhr prayer or is it separate prayer?) It is not forbidden from the Jumuah prayer and the 'Asr (Late-Afternoon) Prayer in travelling and in case of not travelling if reasons of joining them exist. The matter of joining the Jumuah prayer and the 'Asr (Late-Afternoon) Prayer in case of travelling or not travelling is deemed a matter of which the scholars differed, there is no specific evidence, but there are reasons and certain criteria given by the Muslim scholars. The study recommends that Dar Al-Ifta and Islamic fiqh councils should reconsider this issue of joining the prayers, and uniting the viewpoints in this regard, in a way that is consistent with the purpose of al sharia, one of which is to alleviate hardship and difficulty from Muslims.

يتناول البحث حكم جمع صلاة العصر مع صلاة الجمعة. أهداف البحث: يهدف البحث إلى بيان وقت صلاتي الجمعة والظهر، وهل صلاة الجمعة بدل من صلاة الظهر؟ أم هي صلاة مستقلة؟، وبيان أقوال الفقهاء في حكم جمع العصر مع الجمعة في السفر والحضر، وبيان الراجح منها. منهج البحث: الجمع بين المنهج الاستقرائي، والمنهج المقارن، والمنهج النقدي. أهم النتائج: وقت الجمعة هو وقت الظهر ابتداء وانتهاء. ينبني حكم الجمع بين الجمعة والعصر على هل الجمعة صلاة مستقلة أم هي بدل من الظهر. يجوز جمع العصر مع الجمعة حال السفر، وحال الحضر عند وجود أسباب الجمع. مسألة الجمع بين الجمعة والعصر في السفر والحضر اجتهادية، لم يرد فيها دليل خاص، وإنما هي أقيسة وتعليلات يسوقها الفقهاء. أهم التوصيات؛ ينبغي على المجامع الفقهية ودور الإفتاء إعادة النظر في مسائل الجمع بين الصلوات، وتوحيد الرأي فيها -قدر المستطاع -بما يتوافق مع مقاصد الشريعة من رفع الحرج على عموم المسلمين.
