|b In this paper, we will present the main results of the archaeozoological analysis of the Gueldamen I cave suidaes’ faunal remains, collected in these successive Neolithic levels. The study of this bone and dental material showed that Neolithic populations exploited the suidaes in second position after the domestic goats. These observations relating to the exploitation of this prey allowed the evaluation of the supply strategies, and the identification of slaughter processing different stages. In spite of the insufficient numbers of wildlife remains, as well as the dominance of young individuals, this species must have had a special status in the Neolithic populations of this key site, in terms of nutritional choice and food supply resources strategies.
|d Dans cet article, nous exposerons les principaux résultats de l’analyse archéozoologique des restes fauniques des suidés de la grotte de Gueldaman 1, recueillis dans ses niveaux néolithiques successifs. Malgré le nombre restreint des restes de suidés, ainsi que la dominance des individus jeunes, nous avons pu discuter de la stratégie d’approvisionnement de ce taxon selon les niveaux successifs d’occupation, qui semble encore basée sur la chasse, notamment dans le niveau inférieur où la présence de sangliers est nettement observée. En outre, l’étude archéozoologique, a également démontré que les populations néolithiques ont exploités les suidés en troisième position après les caprinés domestiques et les bovins.
