المستخلص: In this paper, we discuss about the important and scientific issues in the science of waqf (signs of stopping) and ibtidaa (beginning of the verse). The scholars differed on waqf at the end of each verse of the Qur'an, and there were so many views and debates about it. One Madhab argues for the sunnah waqf at the end of the verse without looking at the whole of a verse for the integrity of a proposition and the source of a story. While others put forward the purpose of the verse without heeding the waqf sunnah because it would change the meaning and make the reader or observer of the Qur'an confused. This paper aims to reveal and discuss the various arguments made by these two groups. In addition, the paper also aims to get the most strong and reliable opinion regarding this issue.
