المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى وعى مديري المدارس الثانوية بمفاهيم الحوكمة الرشـيدة وعلاقتها بفاعلية الأداء الإداري من وجهة نظر المعلمين في الأردن، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (٢٢٠) معلما ومعلمة؛ أي ما نسبته (٣٩%) من مجتمع الدراسة البالغ عدده (٥٦٠) معلما ومعلمة في مديرية الزرقاء الأولى بمحافظة الزرقاء، اختيرت منهم عينة عشوائية، وتحقيقا لهدف الدراسة قام الباحثان بتطوير أداتين للدراسة تمثلتا باستبانتين، إحداهما لقياس مستوى الوعي بمفاهيم الحوكمة الرشيدة والأخرى لقياس مستوى فاعلية الأداء الإداري لمديري المدارس الثانوية في محافظة الزرقاء، وقد تم التأكد من صدق الأداتين وثباتهما. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن مستوى وعي مديري المدارس الثانوية بمفاهيم الحكومة الرشيدة جاء متوسطا، بمتوسط حسابي (3.20) وانحراف معياري (0.31)، وأن مستوى فاعلية الأداء الإداري جاء متوسطا، بمتوسط حسابي (3.25) وانحراف معياري (0.42)، وأشارت النتائج أيضا إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α = 0.05) تبعا لمتغير الجنس، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α = 0.05) تبعا لمتغير المؤهل العلمي، ولمتغير سنوات الخبرة، ووجود علاقة إيجابية وبدرجة مرتفعة بين فاعلية الأداء الإداري للمديرين والحوكمة الرشيدة، وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصى الباحثان بضرورة إشراك مديري المدارس الثانوية بدورات تدريبية تعنى بمبادئ الحوكمة الرشيدة وتطبيقها في العمل الإداري المدرسي وخاصة الذكور.

The aim of this study is to explore level of awareness among high school principals in the concepts of good governance and its relation with the effectiveness of administrative performance as perceived by Teachers in Jordan. The study sample consisted of (220) teachers, with percentage of (39%) of the study population of (560) teachers. In order to achieve the objective of the study, the researchers developed two study tools represented by two questionnaires, one of them measure level of awareness in the concepts of good governance, and other to measure the level of effectiveness of administrative performance among high school principals in Zerqa Governorate, in addition the validity and reliability of these questionnaires has been verified. The results of the study showed that the level of awareness among high school principals in the concepts of good governance was medium, where the mean was (3.20) with a standard deviation (0.31). On the other hand the level of effectiveness of administrative performance among high school principals in Zerqa Governorate came medium, with mean (3.25) and a standard deviation (0.42). The results also rfered at the existence of statistical differences in the level of indication (α = 0.05), due the variable of scientific qualification, and the years of the experience variable, and the existence of a high positive relationship between the effectiveness of administrative performance of principals and the good governance. In light of findings of the study, the researcher recommended the necessity of secondary schools principals to join training courses concerning the principles of good governance and its application in administrative school work, due to males.
