المستخلص: This study aims to treat the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth by the application on the Algerian economy between the period 1980 - 2014, for this we used in the treatment the analysis of VAR and VECM, to examine the impact of energy consumption on economic growth. It was concluded that the results of the study defined that there is a Co integration between the variables used, which indicates that there is a long term relationship between energy consumption and economic growth. Also it has been distinguished from the VAR model that energy consumption influences economic growth but in a small way in the short term, Finally we will analyze the causal functions, the decomposition of the variance and the impulse responses

Cette étude a pour but de traiter la relation entre la consommation d’énergie et la croissance économique par l’application sur l’économie Algérienne entre la période 1980 – 2014, pour cela on a utilisé dans le traitement l’analyse de la VAR et VECM, pour examiner l’impact DE la consommation d’énergie sur la croissance économique. Il a été conclu que les résultats de l’étude ont défini qu’il ya une Co intégration entre les variables utilisées, ce qui indique qu’il ya une relation à long terme entre la consommation d’énergie et la croissance économique. Aussi il a été distingué d’après le modèle VAR que la consommation d’énergie influent sur la croissance économique mais d’une faible manière à court terme, Enfin nous analyserons les fonctions de causalités, la décomposition de la variance et les réponses impulsionnelles.
