المستخلص: Cinematographic codes, both specific and non-specific, constitute a language that is both denotation and connotation. Anyway, both by its discretion and its ability to highlight, if there is one code that continues to fascinate many theorists, it is obviously the lighting. An effect that we propose to study in order to highlight not only how this primordial source for any shot can be imbued with connotative meaning, but especially that they types of subsidiary information derive from it.

Les codes cinématographiques tant spécifiques que non spécifiques constituent un langage qui relève tant de la dénotation que de la connotation. Quoi qu’il en soit, tant par sa discrétion que par son aptitude à la mise en relief, si il y bien un code qui ne cesse de fasciner bon nombres de théoriciens c’est bien évidemment l’éclairage. En effet, ce procédé est mis en place par le metteur en scène afin d’obtenir l’effet souhaité. Un effet que nous nous proposons d’étudier afin de mettre en évidence non seulement comment cette source primordiale à toute prise de vue peut s’imprégner de sens connotatifs, mais surtout qu’elles types d’informations subsidiaires en découlent.
