Nous nous proposons dans cet article de tenter une lecture de l’espace signifiant dans le roman Bleu blanc vert de Maïssa Bey, une lecture qui sera mise en rapport avec le titre tricolore. Gardien de l’Histoire, l’espace ravive la mémoire et assure le fonctionnement de la narration. Au fur et à mesure que la narration avance, le cadre spatial se meut, tantôt dans l’école et le village, tantôt dans l’immeuble, tantôt dans la maison à jardin. Les trois grands cadres spatiaux du roman ainsi que les couleurs du titre laissent entrevoir des images chargées de connotations et semblent confluer pour servir une thématique historique. We propose in this paper to try a reading of signifying space in the novel Bleu blanc vert of Maïssa Bey. The approach will be put in connection with the three-colored title. Space keeps history. It revives memory and ensures the narration. As narration goes forward, space moves, sometimes to the school and the village, sometimes to the building and sometimes to the house with its garden. The three spaces in the novel as well as the colors of the title show images full of connotations which seem to join to serve a historical set of themes. |
