المستخلص: استهدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف تأثير تعدد الزوجات على التحصيل الدراسي والثقة بالنفس لدى طالبات جامعة سطام بن عبد العزيز، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف استعملت الباحثتان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي باستعمال مقياس الثقة بالنفس الذي تم إعداده لغايات هذه الدراسة مكون من (29) فقرة، تم تطبيقه على عينة من طالبات جامعة سطام تنبثق من اسر فيه تعدد الزوجات أو أحادي الزوجات، تكونت عينة الدراسة من (230) تم اختيارهن بطريقة عشوائية من الطالبات المسجلات للعام 1435- 1436. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود درجة متوسطة ودالة إحصائيا عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05≥a) وهذا يدل على وجود فرق ذو دلاله إحصائية لتأثير تعدد الزوجات على الثقة بالنفس لدى عينة من طالبات جامعة الأمير سطام. عدم وجود تأثير لتعدد الزوجات على التحصيل العلمي لدى طالبات جامعة الأمير سطام بين المتغيرين، إذ لم تصل قيمة (ch2) إلى مستوى الدلالة الإحصائية (0.05≥α ). وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05≥α ) لتعدد الزوجات على الثقة بالنفس لدى عينة طالبات جامعة الأمير سطام وفقا للمتغير (الوضع الاكاديمي) (والوضع الاقتصادي)، إذ بلغت قيمة (f) (5.634) عند مستوى الدلالة الإحصائية (0.00)، وللكشف عن مواقع الفروق تم تطبيق اختبار شيفيه (scheffe). وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة توصي الباحثتان بزيادة الوعي وتطبيق الحم الشرعي لتعدد الزوجات من حيث المقدرة المادية وتحقيق العدالة لما في ذلك من تأثير على الأبناء والزوجات والأسرة والمجتمع ككل

The study aimed to recognize the impact of polygamy on academic achievement and self-confidence among Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University students. To achieve this goal, the researchers used the Descriptive Analytical method using The Self Confidence measurement ,that has been prepared for the purposes of this study, consists set of 29 questions, then applied to the students sample that emerges from polygamy and one- wife families, study sample consists of randomly selected 230 students registered for the year .1435-1436 The results of the study showed presence of medium statistical impact on the significance level (a 4 0.05), this proof significant statistical effect of polygamy on self-confidence among the sample of Prince Sat-tam University students. However, lack of impact of polygamy on academic achievement among students in Prince Sattam University where (eh' value) of the tow variables did not reach the value of significance level (a 5 0.05). The statistical significant differences at (a 5 0.05) of polygamy on self-confidence among the sample of Prince Sattam University students depending on the variables academic status and economic situation shown to have strong influence, as f-value —5.634 at the significance level (0.00). To detect the difference points Scheffe test been applied. In light of the study results; the researchers recommend increasing awareness and apply the prober Islamic ruling of polygamy in terms of physical and financial qualifications as well as apply equality between wives and their children, since this issue shown strong impact ,mo Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University students.
