المستخلص: موضوع البحث: دراسة تحليلية لحديث "أهل الدرجات العلى" تتضمن جمع ودراسة طرقه وشواهده، ثم بيان معانيه ودلالاته، فهو دراسة لهذا الحديث رواية ودراية. أهداف البحث: - الوقوف على ما ثبت من الطرق لهذا الحديث وما لم يثبت منها. - معرفة ألفاظ الحديث المختلفة، وما تدل عليه من المعاني والفوائد. - إبراز نوع من أنواع التأليف عند المحدثين، وهو إفراد حديث من الأحاديث الواردة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالكلام في إسناده ومتنه. مشكلة البحث: عدم وجود دراسة مستقلة للأحاديث الواردة في درجات الجنة سندا ومتنا، فهذا البحث يسهم في جمع ما يتعلق بهذه الأحاديث ودراستها. نتائج البحث: - عدد الأحاديث الواردة في موضوع البحث ستة أحاديث، ثلاثة منها صحيحة، والرابع ضعيف منكر، والخامس ضعيف جدا، والسادس ضعيف مرسل. - ثبوت الحديث الوارد في أن أبا بكر وعمر رضي الله عنهما في الدرجات العلى من الجنة. - أن عدد درجات الجنة ليس محصورا في مائة درجة على التحقيق. - أن المسافة بين درجات الجنة كما بين السماء والأرض.

Research theme: The paper presents a study of the Prophetic tradition on the people of highly elevated grades in heavens by examining its paths of transmission, its further supporting versions, explaining its meaning and implications. It is a study of transmission and meaning of the hadith. Research aims: To highlight authentic and unauthentic versions of the report under discussion. To study variant texts of the hadith, their meanings, implications and lessons derived from them. To endorse a method of writing employed by the scholars of Hadith; i.e. intensively studying one single hadith of the Prophet by examining its transmission and meaning. Research problem: There is no previous study, which focused on the report of the people of highly elevated grades in paradise by studying its transmission and meaning. This paper attempts to collect and analyze all variant versions of the report. Research results: The number of versions examined in this paper is six; three of them are proved to be authentic, the fourth is munkar (a report transmitted by unreliable transmitters when compared to the version of other reliable reporters), the fifth is very weak, while the sixth is mursal (report where the name of the Companion who received it from the Prophet is missing). The report which proves that Abū Bakr and ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them) are destined for the highest elevated grades of paradise is authentic. It is verified that the number of grades of paradise is not restricted to be 100. The distance between each grade in paradise is like the distance between the sky and the earth.
