المستخلص: تتناول هذه الدراسة صورة الصحراء في الرواية العربية المغاربية منذ نشأتها إلى نهاية القرن العشرين. الهدف الأساس للدراسة هو تقديم عرض متسلسل للروايات المغارية التي تناولت الصحراء كموضوع أساس بحسب تاريخ ظهور هذه الروايات وإعطاء نبذة مختصره عن كل واحدة منها من أجل تعريف الباحث والقارئ الفرانكوفوتي والغربي بدور الصحراء في الرواية (المغاربية) العربية التي نرى أن الدراسات الأكاديمية الفرانكوفوية والغربية لازالت تفتقر لها. لا تلجأ الدراسة إلى التحليل المعمق لكل رواية نظرا للعدد الكبير للروايات المدروسة. تقوم الدراسة بتقسيم الرواية العربية المغاربية إلى قسمين: الرواية المكتوبة باللغة العربية والرواية المكتوبة باللغة الفرنسية. ثم يتناول البحث عرضا للروايات في كل نوع. نحاول من خلال البحث الرد على الأسئلة التالية: لماذا ابتعدت الرواية العربية في بداياتها عن الصحراء؟ كيف تعاملت الرواية العربية، التي تأثرت بالرواية الغربية عند نشأتها شكلا ومضمونا مع ثيمة الصحراء؟ ما هي السمات والموضوعات التي تناولتها رواية الصحراء المغاربية المكتوبة باللغة العربية وما هي السمات والموضوعات التي تناولتها رواية الصحراء المكتوبة باللغة الفرنسية؟ من هم أبرز الروائيين المغاربيين الذين تناولوا ثيمة الصحراء وما هي أبرز الروايات؟ ثم نقوم بعمل تحليل مقارن لروايتي (الخسوف) لإبراهيم الكوني (كتبت بالعربية) و(صلاة الغائب) لطاهر بن جلون (كتبت بالفرنسية) بوصفهما روايتان بارزتان لرواية الصحراء وبوصفهما روايتان يوظفان التأريخي والمتخيل في آن واحد.

Cette étude examine l'image du désert dans le roman arabe maghrébin depuis sa création jusqu'à la fin du vingtième siècle. L'objectif principal de l’étude est de fournir une exposition séquentielle des romans maghrébins qui traitent du désert comme sujet de base en fonction de la date de leur publication et de donner un bref aperçu de chacun d'eux afin de faire connaitre au chercheur et au lecteur francophone et occidental le rôle du désert dans le roman maghrébin ; thématique que nous trouvons encore peu traitée dans les études académiques francophones et occidentales. L’étude ne recourt pas à une analyse approfondie de chaque roman, compte tenu du grand nombre de romans étudiés. L’étude divise le roman arabe maghrébin en deux parties: le roman écrit en arabe et le roman écrit en français. L’étude porte ensuite sur la présentation de romans de chaque partie. Nous essayons de répondre aux questions suivantes: Pourquoi le roman arabe, à ses débuts, s'est-il éloigné du désert? Comment le roman arabe, qui a été influencé par le roman occidental lors de sa création tant au niveau de la forme qu’au niveau du contenu, a-t-il traité du thème du désert? Quels sont les thèmes et les sujets abordés dans le roman du désert maghrébin écrit en arabe et quels sont les traits et les thèmes abordés dans le roman du désert maghrébin écrit en français? Qui sont les principaux romanciers maghrébins qui ont abordé le thème du désert et quels sont les romans les plus en vue ? Ensuite, nous effectuons une analyse comparative des romans L'Éclipse (en arabe) d’Ibrahim al-Koni et La Prière de l'absent (en français) de Taher Ben Jelloun en tant que romans-types et romans qui utilisent à la fois l’historique et l’imaginaire.

This study deals with the image of the desert in the Arab Maghrebi novel from its inception to the end of the twentieth century. The main objective of the study is to present a sequential presentation of the Maghrebi novels that dealt with the desert as a main topic according to the date of the emergence of these novels and to give a brief summary of each of them in order to introduce the Francophone and Western researcher and reader to the role of the desert in the Arab (Maghrebi) novel, which we believe is still lacking in Francophone and Western academic studies. The study does not resort to in-depth analysis of each novel due to the large number of studied novels. The study divides the Arab Maghrebi novel into two sections: the novel written in Arabic and the novel written in French. Then the research deals with a presentation of the novels of each genre. Through the research, we try to answer the following questions: Why did the Arab novel, in its beginnings, move away from the desert? How did the Arab novel, which was influenced by the Western novel at its inception, deal in form and content with the theme of the desert? What are the features and themes dealt with in the Maghrebi desert novel written in Arabic, and what are the features and themes dealt with in the desert novel written in French? Who are the most prominent Maghrebi novelists who dealt with the theme of the desert, and what are the most prominent novels? Then we make a comparative analysis of the two novels (The Eclipse) by Ibrahim Al-Koni (written in Arabic) and (The Absentee's Prayer) by Tahar Ben Jelloun (written in French) as two notable novels of the desert novel and as two novels that employ the historical and the imaginary at the same time.
