|a جمعت العرب والحبشة علاقات قديمة، نظراً لأن البحر الأحمر يمثل نقطة اتصال بينهما، وتباينت تلك العلاقة في فترات متلاحقة، بين التقارب تارة، والعداء أخرى، وقد تعمقت بشكل كبير في الحقبة الإسلامية وتحديداً في العهد النبوي، وعلى وجه الخصوص في السنة الخامسة للبعثة، وذلك عندما اختارها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لتكون قاعدة جديدة، يهاجر إليها أصحابه، ونتطرق إلى العلاقات المكية قبل الإسلام وبعده، ونسلط في هذا البحث الضوء على موضوع الهجرة، ونتناوله من جميع جوانبه بشيء من التفصيل، ثم نتناول حياة المسلمين في الحبشة ومدى تأثر المسلمين بالأحباش، وتأثيرهم فيهم. ونتطرق إلى علاقة المسلمين بالأحباش في عهد الدولة الإسلامية، والتي تحولت بعد وفاة النجاشي من جهة الأحباش من التقارب إلى العداء.

|b The Arabs and Abyssinia had ancient relation, due to their point of contact across the Red Sea. This relationship had varied at successive intervals, from closeness to hostility. In the Islamic era, this relationship deepened considerably, particularly in the fifth year of the mission, when the Abyssinia was selected by the Prophet as a new base for his followers. In this research paper, we explore the pre-Islamic and post-Islamic relations. We will also highlight the issue of migration and addressing it in all its aspects in some details. Moreover, we will address the life of Muslims in Abyssinia and to which extent Muslims were influenced by Abyssinian people and vice versa. We also show the relation of the Muslims with the Abyssinians during the Islamic State, which after the death of the Negus (on the part of the Abyssinians) shifted from rapprochement to hostility.
