المستخلص: تطور الفكر الأخلاقي في الفلسفة الغربية المعاصرة ليتوج بميلاد الغيرية والتي بدورها مهدت لظهور أخلاق المسؤولية عند لفيناس هذه الأخلاق تقوم على احترام الآخر، ويعتقد لفيناس أن الفكر الأخلاقي يفقد معنى وجوده في غياب الغير، فأنا أمارس الأخلاق من أجل الآخر، وهذا ما يدعو إلى الإقبال على الحياة، والحفاظ عليها من أجل الأنا والغير، وهذه الفلسفة جديرة بالاهتمام والتطبيق على ارض الواقع لتحقيق السلام الدائم، لذا يمكن الفصل بالقول بأن أخلاق المسؤولية هي الأخلاق التي تؤسس إلى الكونية التي يحترم فيها الإنسان بعيدا عن إيديولوجيته وعرقه، كما أن أخلاق المسؤولية تنادي بالمسؤولية اللاتماثلية وهي مسؤولية منزهة بمعنى أن الأنسان يتحمل مسؤوليته ويؤدي واجبه تجاه الأخرين دون انتظار أي مقابل منهم ودون أن ينتظر منهم أن يبادلوه نفس الشعور فهي مسؤولية منزهة كل التنزيه عن الغايات والمنافع، وأخلاق المسؤولية هي التي تؤسس إلى أخلاق الغيرية التي تحرر الأنسان من الصراع والقتل وتحرر الأنسان أيضا من الكراهية والحقد فهي ارتقاء بالإنسان من الأنانية الحيوانية إلى الإيثار الإنساني وهي انتقال بالإنسان من وحشيته إلى خيرته، وتبقى أخلاق المسؤولية فكرة فلسفية في انتظار أن تتحول إلى سلوك اجتماعي وسياسي واقعي. فبهذا التحول فقط يتحقق السلام الدائم وتنتهي الحروب ويسود التسامح والأخوة الكونية التي طالما بحث عنها الإنسان ليحقق السعادة
