المستخلص: Joint ventures represent a form of alliance that can substitute for the establishment of affiliates or the acquisition of local firms, and offer various advantages to partners, particularly for their flexibility. However, their progress, as well as their stability and success depend on several factors, including external uncertainty linked to the risk of investment in the host country. Thus, the objective of this paper is to analyze the influence of the specific environmental factors of the host country on the creation, functionality and success of the joint venture, with focusing on the case of Algeria

Les joint-ventures sont une forme d’alliance qui se substitue à une implantation de filiales ou à une acquisition de firmes locales, offrant divers avantages aux partenaires notamment en raison de leur flexibilité. Toutefois, leur croissance, ainsi que leur stabilité et réussite dépendent de plusieurs facteurs, dont l’incertitude externe liée au risque d’investissement dans le pays d’accueil. Ainsi, l’objectif de ce papier est d’analyser l’influence des facteurs spécifiques et environnementaux du pays d’implantation sur la création, la fonctionnalité et la réussite de l’entreprise conjointe, en se focalisant sur le de l’Algérie.
