المستخلص: إن الترجمة، قبل كل شيء، فعل تواصل يتطلب إتقان اللغة. إن تنوع اللغات، أو بالأحرى ثقافات اللغة، يطرح إشكالية – الترجمة وبالتالي إشكالية صعوبات نقل المعنى، الذي وإن كان مفهوماً في اللغة المصدر، يستهدف سنداً لغوياً قادراً على ضمان أمانته في اللغة المستهدفة. ينبغي أن تكون كل ترجمة أمينة، تعكس بدقة فكرة العمل الأصلي وشكله، ولكن مع ذلك فإن الأمانة في الترجمة لا تستبعد تكييفاً ضرورياً لجعل شكل العمل ودلالته العميقة حساساً في لغة أخرى مع دولة أخرى وجمهور آخر. لذلك عندما نواجه ترجمة عمل من الأدب الفرنسي لمؤلف مصري؛ وإن ما يلفت انتباهنا أولاً هو تعقيد هذه الترجمة، وثانياً افتقارها إلى معيار من معايير الجودة متمثلاً في الأمانة.

Translation is above all an act of communication which requires mastery of the language. The diversity of languages, or rather of language-cultures, clears up the problem of translation and maintains the difficulties of transferring meaning, which, even well understood in the source language, aims at a language support capable of ensuring its fidelity in the target language. Any translation must be faithful and accurately reflect the idea and form of the original work, but nevertheless the fidelity of the translation does not exclude an adaptation necessary to render the form, the atmosphere, the deep meaning of the work, sensitive in another language, with another country, and with a public. So when we are faced with a translation of a work of French literature by an Egyptian author; what strikes us first is the complication of this translation, and the lack of quality criteria; which is loyalty.

La traduction est avant tout un acte de communication qui exige une maîtrise de la langue. Les diversités de langues ou plutôt des langues-cultures dégagent la problématique de la traduction et maintiennent les difficultés de transfert de sens, qui même bien saisi en langue de départ, vise un support langagier capable d’assurer sa fidélité en langue-cible. Toute traduction doit être fidèle et rendre exactement l’idée et la forme de l’oeuvre originale, mais cependant la fidélité de la traduction n’exclue pas une adaptation nécessaire pour rendre la forme, l’atmosphère, la signification profonde de l’oeuvre, sensibles dans une autre langue, auprès d’un autre pays, et auprès d’un public. Donc, quand nous sommes confrontés à une traduction d’une oeuvre de la littérature française par un auteur égyptien; ce qui nous heurte d’abord c’est la complication de cette traduction, et le manque du critère de qualité; qui est la fidélité.
