المستخلص: A coherent text's ideas must be presented in a way that directs the reader's thinking from upstream to downstream. In this research work, we study the use of logical connectors and their contribution within an argumentative text. Our study has two perspectives: on one hand, we examine the contribution of these connectors as linking words by contributing to the cohesion and coherence of the target text; on the other hand, we study the contribution of these connectors as a part of the argumentation. The objective of this scientific contribution is to demonstrate to the writers, especially those of the university cycle, how logical connectors are used in different texts, especially the argumentative text; and thus to propose a process of using these connectors in order to express the logical relation desired. This inductive study on one side and contrastive on the other, examines the reliability of the hypotheses of our research about the use of the connectors in question, as an element of textual coherence, and as a participant in the argumentation. By proceeding with a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the texts forming our corpus, we have concluded that the integration of such a logical connector requires linguistic and scriptural competence, relative to the linguistic context of the statement where this connector is used. Indeed, a logical connector can express more than a relation.

Pour qu’un texte soit cohérent, ses idées doivent être présentées d’une manière à orienter la pensée du lecteur de l’amant à l’aval. Dans ce travail de recherche, nous étudions l’emploi des connecteurs logiques, voire leur apport au sein d’un texte argumentatif. Notre étude est de double perspectives : d’une part, nous examinons l’apport de ces connecteurs comme mots de liaison en contribuant à la cohésion et à la cohérence du texte cible ; de l’autre, nous étudions l’apport des connecteurs en question comme participant à l’argumentation. L’objectif de cette contribution scientifique est de démontrer aux scripteurs, en particulier ceux du cycle universitaire, comment les connecteurs logiques s’emploient dans différents textes, notamment le texte argumentatif ; et de proposer donc un processus d’employer ces connecteurs en vu d’exprimer la relation logique voulue. Cette étude inductive d’un côté et contrastive de l’autre, examine la fiabilité des hypothèses de notre recherche relatives à l’usage des connecteurs en question, comme élément de cohérence textuelle, et en tant que participant à l’argumentation. En procédant par une analyse quantitative et qualitative des textes formant notre corpus, nous avons conclu que l’intégration d’un tel connecteur logique nécessite une compétence langagière et scripturale, relative au contexte linguistique de l’énoncé où ce connecteur est employé. En effet, un connecteur logique peut exprimer plus qu’une relation.
