المستخلص: يعيش المرء في مجتمع يضم المتشابهين والمختلفين من الأفراد. فإن أهمل هذا المجتمع المختلفين أو نبذهم، تعرض كيانه للنقص والتفكك، وإن رعى النوعين، اكتمل وتماسك. ومن مهام الأدب توجيه الفرد والمجتمع، إن انكسر الفرد شد عضده، وإن انحرف المجتمع، أعاده إلى جادة الصواب؛ فالأدب هو الضمير الذاتي للفرد، والأخلاقي للمجتمع، وذلك سبيل دراستنا التي عملت على تتبع صورة ذوي الإعاقة في الأدب العربي، فوقفت على نصوص ذاتية من أعمالهم، أظهرت انهزامهم أمام إعاقتهم وإجحاف مجتمعاتهم، وأخرى بينت علو هممهم وتجاوزهم لمحنهم؛ فأصبحوا أبطالا في الحياة والأدب. ونصوص غيرية عكست نكوص المجتمع، أو أبرزت وعيه وإنسانيته. وبحثت الدراسة -في كلتا الحالتين-في رغبة الأدباء وقدرتهم على تقديم مفاهيم ومعايير جديدة قابلة للتغيير باستمرار عبر مراحل الأدب التاريخية. وتتبعت تطورات تلك المفاهيم، ومحفزات ذلك التطور وأسبابه، وصوره، وخطه الزمني، بما يحقق وجودهم في المجتمع ونشاطهم الأدبي. ويسمو بإنسانية الأدب والمجتمع معاً.

A person lives in a society that includes similar and different individuals. If the society neglects or dismisses the different ones, then the society is subject to deficiency and disintegration, but if the society takes care of both types, it will become complete and coherent. A task for the literature a is to direct both the individuals and the society. If an individual is broken, the society supports him/her, and if the society diverges from rightness, individuals return it to the right pathway. Literature is the self-conscience of an individual and the moral of society. That is what the study follows as it traces the image of people of determination in Arabic literature, and examines texts of theirs, which showed their defeat against their disability and the prejudice of their societies, and other texts that showed their high ambitions and capabilities of overcoming their problems. Hence, they became heroes in life and literature. The texts by others (those that are not self) reflect the society’s awareness and humanity. In both cases, the study examined the ability and desire of poets to present new concepts and criterion that are constantly changeable throughout the literature history. The study also traced the developments of those concepts as well as motives, causes, images, and timelines to elevate the humanity of literature and society together, which accomplishes their existence and literary contribution to the society.
