المستخلص: هدف البحث إلى تحديد مهارات الكتابة الأكاديمية اللازمة للطلاب في جامعة بيشة من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس المتعلقة بالمجالات التالية: كتابة المحتوى وتنظيمه، اللغة والأسلوب، الشكل التنظيمي، التوثيق. وبناء تصور مقترح لتضمين هذه المهارات في مقررات السنة الأولى في جامعة بيشة. وتمثلت مشكلة البحث في عدم إدراك بعض الجامعات السعودية أهمية تضمين مهارات الكتابة الأكاديمية في برامجها حيث لا تقدم للطلاب -خاصة في السنة الأولى- مقررات أو تدريبا عليها وبالتالي لايزال وعي الطلاب في هذه المرحلة بأهميتها ودورها في تحقيق النجاح الأكاديمي منخفضا جدا؛ مما انعكس على ممارستهم لها، كما أن خلو مقررات السنة الأولى في جامعة بيشة من مقرر يتعلق بالكتابة الأكاديمية شجع الباحث إلى تحديد المهارات اللازمة للكتابة الأكاديمية اللازمة للطلاب وبناء تصور مقترح لتضمينها ضمن مقررات السنة الأولى. وقد تكونت عينة البحث من عينة عشوائية طبقية من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة بيشة، واستخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي حيث أعد الباحث استبانة بمهارات الكتابة الأكاديمية اللازمة للطلاب وبعد التأكد من صدقها وثباتها عرضها على العينة لتحديد درجة أهميتها ثم بنى الباحث تصورا مقترحا لتضمينها في مقرر مهارات الاتصال. وأسفرت نتائج البحث عن تحديد درجة أهمية مهارات الكتابة الأكاديمية اللازمة وترتيبها وفقا لدرجة الأهمية، وبناء تصور منهجي لتضمينها في مقرر مهارات الاتصال.

The research aimed to determine the academic writing skills needed for students at the University of Bisha from the viewpoint of the teaching staff related to the following areas: writing and organizing content, language and style, organizational form, documentation, as well as building a proposal to embed these skills in the first-year courses at the university of Bisha. The research problem was that some Saudi universities did not realize the importance of including academic writing skills in their programs as they do not offer students - specially in the first year - courses or training, and thus students’ awareness of this level and its importance and role in achieving academic success is low; which reflected on their practice of it. The absence of the first-year courses at the University of Bisha of a course related to academic writing encouraged the researcher to determine the necessary skills for academic writing necessary for students. The research sample consisted of a stratified random sample of the teaching staff at the University of Bisha. The research used the descriptive analytical approach, where the researcher prepared a questionnaire with the academic writing skills needed for students, and after making sure of its validity and reliability, it was presented to the sample to determine the degree of its importance. Then the researcher constructed a proposed perception to embed the skills in the communication skills course. The findings of the research resulted in determining the degree of importance of the necessary academic writing skills, arranging them according to the degree of importance, and building a systematic perception for embedding them in the communication skills course.
