المستخلص: "شهدت مصر خلال العقود الأخيرة تغيرات متكررة في الحدود الإدارية للمحافظات والمراكز الإدارية وحتى القرى، وذلك استجابة لارتفاع معدلات التحضر والحركة المستمرة للسكان، غير أنه لسوء الحظ لم تواكب الخرائط الإدارية هذه التغييرات الإدارية. يستهدف البحث تحديث خريطة الحدود الإدارية لمركز بيلا محافظة كفر الشيخ، الواردة بخرائط الهيئة المصرية العامة للمساحة وكذا الخرائط الرقمية التي يصدرها الجهاز المركزي للتعبئة العامة والإحصاء في ضوء بيانات التعدادات السكانية لتوابع القرى بمحافظتي كفر الشيخ والدقهلية، بهدف مساعدة متخذي القرار والباحثين في التخطيط للسكان بالمركز في ضوء المساحة التي يشغلها السكان بالفعل."

Due to rapid changes in urbanization and ongoing population mobility in Egypt over the past decades, there are frequent changes in the administrative divisions across the country, at both the governorates, districts and even villages scales. Nonetheless, updating the national maps following these administrative changes is unfortunately delayed. This study aims to update the administrative border maps of Bila district (Kafr El Sheikh Governorate). The original maps were issued by the Egyptian General Authority for Surveying and the Digital Maps were issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics. The updating procedure was mainly made based on the census demographic data published recently by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics. This study benefited from these data, which were available at a detailed spatial scale for Bila district (i.e. for villages and their neighborhoods). Updating the administrative maps of Bila district, located close to one of the largest and highly population dense governorates in Egypt (Dakahliya), is important to help decision-makers monitoring and planning economic and human resources in this district.
