الماء هو من أعظم النعم التي أنعم الله بها على عباده ورحمهم به فهو أغلى ما يملكه الإنسان في الأرض فمنه خلقهم وهو سر وجود هذه المخلوقات وأساس الحياة عليه فجعل كل شيء حي بسببه ولا يحيا بدونه والماء هو الاسم الرئيس للمحيطات والأنهار والعيون والآبار وغيرها، وله أهمية كبيرة في الحياة للشرب وأحياء الأرض وهو السبب الرئيس لوجود الحياة على الأرض ولولا الماء لكان كوكب الأرض ميتا كالقمر ولكن الله سبحانه وتعالى خلق هذه المياه على الأرض بالقدر المطلوب والنسب اللازمة المتلائمة مع مساحة اليابسة وحاجاتها، فالماء أكثر ضرورة للإنسان من الغذاء وهو الجزء الأكبر والأهم لتكوين الجسم وضروري أيضا لقيام كل عضو بوظيفته ولازم لحدوث التفاعلات والتحولات وعنصر لازم وفعال وقد اقتضت طبيعة البحث ملخص باللغة العربية والإنكليزية إلى فصلين تكلمت في الفصل الأول على عدة مباحث المبحث الأول عن التعريف بالتوظيف لغة واصطلاحا والمبحث الثاني التعريف بالماء لغة واصطلاحا والمبحث الثالث عن الألفاظ ذات الصلة من الأنهار والعيون والطوفان إما الفصل الثاني آيات القعاب في القرآن الكريم قسمت الفصل على مباحث تناول المبحث الأول التعريف بالعقاب والغرق لغة واصطلاحا إما المبحث الثاني آيات تتحدث عن معاقبة قوم فرعون بالغرق والمبحث الثالث عن معاقبة قوم نوح بالغرق إما المبحث الأخير كان عن تهديد المخالفين بالإغراق ونهيت المبحث أهم النتائج وذكرت المصادر والمراجع التي استعنت بها.
