المستخلص: المكتبة كمؤسسة اجتماعية تتأثر بالتغيرات والتحديات التي تواجه المجتمعات ولعل جائحة كورونا وما تبعه من إغلاق للمكتبات ومؤسسات المعلومات وإغلاق الخدمات مؤقتا أو تقليلها إلى الحد الأدنى للمساهمة في الجهود المبذولة للحد من انتشار المرض ويمكن القول بأن تعبير إغلاق المكتبة ليس هو التعبير الدقيق أو على الأقل الأنسب، فقد تكون مباني المكتبات قد أغلقت، ولكن المكتبات ككيان ماتزال مفتوحة، خاصة مع إمكانية عمل موظفي المكتبات عن بعد من منازلهم اعتمادا على البنية التقنية المتطورة وتدفق سير العمل المتماسك والانسيابي في نفس الوقت، بل وقدمت بعض المكتبات خدماتها بشكل غير تقليدي ولا يتطلب حضور المستفيد إلى المكتبة، ومن هنا تأتى هذه الدراسة للتعرف على تلك الخدمات التي تقدمها المكتبات الجامعية عن بعد، ومدى رضا المستفيدين عن تقديم تلك الخدمات، وذلك بالتعرف على بعض النماذج للمكتبات ومراكز المعلومات التي تقدم خدماتها عن بعد، ومقومات تقديم هذه النوعية من الخدمات، والمهارات اللازم توافرها في أخصائي المعلومات التي يقوم بأداء تلك المهمة.

"The library as a social institution is affected by the changes and challenges facing societies. Perhaps the Corona pandemic and the subsequent closure of libraries and information institutions and the temporary closure or reduction of services to a minimum to contribute to the efforts made to limit the spread of the disease. It can be said that the term library closure is not an accurate expression or At least more appropriate, the library buildings may have closed, but the libraries as an entity are still open, especially with the possibility of working remote library employees from their homes depending on the advanced technical structure and the coherent and fluid workflow at the same time, and some libraries have provided their services unconventionally. The attendance of the beneficiary is not required to the library, hence this study comes to identify those services provided by university libraries remotely, and the extent to which the beneficiaries are satisfied with providing these services, by getting acquainted with some forms of libraries and information centers that provide their services remotely, and the elements of providing This type of services, and the skills required for the information specialist that performs this task The study reached a set of results that can be summarized in the following points: 1- The beginning of the interest in providing information services remotely with the availability of distance education and the keenness of professional organizations and associations to develop perceptions and recommendations to provide these non-traditional services to researchers and students due to their right to obtain information services such as their counterparts of researchers and regular students 2- The university libraries under study provided remote information services represented in online search services, external borrowing, document delivery service, reference service, inter-library loan exchange, training and remote guidance. 3- The remote library services have received acceptance from the beneficiaries in their application and activation 4- One of the justifications for the beneficiaries in using remote library services is due to the availability of information sources via the Internet, and their lack of knowledge of using the library. 5- The results of the questionnaire showed that the ingredients for providing remote library services, especially in university libraries, are available in terms of the availability of banks and databases necessary to obtain information sources without the presence of the beneficiary at the library, but the methods, methods and rules for providing remote information services through the libraries websites available on the network The Internet is not clear to the beneficiaries and depends on the experience and the extent of communication and cooperation of library workers 6- The database search service is one of the most frequently used services by the beneficiaries, followed by guidance and training services, then the reference service and ask my office through the library’s website on the Internet or through one of the social networking programs 7- The weakness of the application of external borrowing services and the exchange of borrowing between libraries remotely, and perhaps this is due to the need to apply these services to the use of technical programs with specific specifications and the establishment of controls that regulate the external borrowing services remotely and the exchange of lending between libraries, especially in Egyptian university libraries 8- The library and information specialist has an important role in providing and providing library and information services, which makes it necessary for the information specialist to acquire some of the skills necessary for this."
