Woman is a sidelined figure in the Algerian society, she is often defined by her aptitude to comply with the norms that govern society. The aim of this article is to show the marginalization and wandering of women, as can be seen in the choices of female protagonists in No Other Voice and Since My Heart Died of Maïssa Bey. To do this, the study will be based on both Gender Studies and the sociological approach, describing the socio political conditions that have marked contemporary Algerian society. In this perspective, by subverting the social norm, the marginal starts, on the one hand, in search of a place in an attempt to reconnect with lost ties. On the other hand, it is doomed to the definitive exclusion of society. La femme est une figure mise à l’écart dans la société algérienne, elle n’est souvent définie que par son aptitude de plier aux normes qui régissent la société. Cet article s’attachera à montrer la marginalisation et l’errance des femmes à travers le choix des protagonistes féminins dans Nulle autre voix et Puisque mon coeur est mort de Maïssa Bey. Pour ce faire, l’étude se basera à la fois sur les Gender studies et l’approche sociologique, tout en décrivant les conditions sociologiques marquant la société algérienne contemporaine. Dans cette perspective, en subvertissant la norme sociale, le marginal se met, d’une part, en route à la recherche d’un lieu dans une tentative de renouer avec des liens perdus. D’autre part, celui-ci est voué à l’exclusion définitive de la société. |
