يتناول هذا البحث فكرة الاغتراب والحب عند الأديبة نازك الملائكة من خلال مجموعتها القصصية "الشمس التي وراء القمة" وهي فكرة جديدة لأنها تقف على دراسة جانب مهم من جوانب إبداعها النثري من الناحية الموضوعية والفنية. تضمنت هذه المجموعة سبع قصص قصيرة جمع بينها سمتين واضحتين ظهرتا بوضوح في التعبير عن نفسية الكاتبة واتجاهاها وهما "الحب والاغتراب". فالحب عندها حب عام، حب الإنسان لأخيه الإنسان، حب الإنسان للحيوان، حب لكل ما يجري في عروقه دم الحياة، حتى النبات والجماد. أما الاغتراب فجاء نتيجة أنها حثت عن الحب حولها فلم تجد آثاره بين الناس، وإنما رأت الظلم والجشع نتيجة البغضاء والكراهية والحسد في تعاملاهم مع بعضهم البعض. وثمة علاقة واضحة بين الاغتراب والحب في حياة الناس، فالحب بمعناه المطلق هو حب الخير والعدل والجمال، الحب بين جميع الموجودات، حب الإنسان لكل من حوله، ومن ثم فالإنسان الذي لا يجد هذا الحب يتسلل إليه الشعور بالعزلة والحزن والاغتراب عن واقعه.
This research sheds light on the two themes of love and alienation in Nazek Al Malaika’s works by focusing on her literary collection The Sun Behind the Horizon. The research addresses a new idea as it focuses on an important aspect of Al-Malaika’s prose creativity in terms of themes and creative skills. The collection of The Sun Behind the Horizon consists of seven short stories. Love and alienation are two common themes to be found in these short stories. These themes were clearly employed by the author to express her inner state as well as her literary tendency. In Nazek Al-Malaika’s perspective, love has a general overview. It shows man’s love of humans, animals, and any living creature. It even expresses man’s love of plants and inanimate objects. Alienation, in Al Malaika’s viewpoint, is caused by her hopeless search of love. Unfortunately, she could not find any sign of love among humans. Instead, she found tyranny and greed that are cause by hatred, repugnance, and envy as common features among human beings. There is an obvious connection between love and alienation in people’s life. The absolute meaning of love is the love of justice and beauty. It refers to human’s love to all the existence. Consequently, a man who cannot find love, desperately feels isolated, sorrowful, and alienated from his reality.
