The exact sciences, in particular the physical sciences, their notoriety was acquired thanks to the use of mathematics and their abstraction. The social sciences could not, therefore, remain indifferent and impervious to the place that the exact sciences increasingly occupy in society. Exact sciences and mathematics will be adopted by the social sciences to subject man and society to so-called "scientific" analyzes in the same way as any physical object. Starting from the physical sciences and mathematics, it will be a question of a kind of "social physics" where it is possible to proceed, in terms of analyzes and studies, to a "real" objectification of social facts. Convinced of the importance of mathematics for the development of society, the social sciences will make the training of elites an absolute necessity. Thus was born the geometrization of the minds of the ruling elites, because the training in question had to be done through mathematics. Unfortunately, this geometrization of the ruling elites is at the center of the passivity of the entire training system, particularly in the grandes écoles where the mode of reasoning (based on mathematics and its ab-straction) internalized by the students takes precedence over the content of dynamic knowledge. acquired during training. For many researchers and sociologists, this way of seeing things is the main cause of the blocking of society. The mathematization of the social sciences will not leave any room for freedom to reflect on other methodological avenues. Everything must pass through the methods and tools of mathematics. No discipline can claim any scientific status if it does not make use of mathematics. Thus, was born "tyranny of the single thought" in the social sciences. The close relationship between mathematics and social sciences imposes a severe observation: society is totally blocked despite the geometrization of the minds of the elites by mathematics.
Les sciences exactes, notamment les sciences physiques, leur noto-riété a été acquise grâce à l’usage des mathématiques et leur abstraction. Les sciences sociales ne pouvaient, par conséquent, rester indifférentes et imperméables à la place qu’occupent, de plus en plus, les sciences exactes au sein de la société. Sciences exactes et mathématiques vont être adop-tées par les sciences sociales pour soumettre l’homme et la société à des analyses dites « scientifiques » au même titre que n’importe quel objet physique. Partant des sciences physiques et des mathématiques, il sera question d’une sorte de « physique sociale » où il est possible de procé-der, en termes d’analyses et d’études, à une « véritable » chosification des faits sociaux. Convaincues de l’importance des mathématiques pour le dévelop-pement de la société, les sciences sociales feront de la formation des élites une nécessité absolue. Ainsi, est née la géométrisation de l’esprit des élites dirigeantes, car la formation en question devait se faire par les ma-thématiques. Malheureusement, cette géométrisation des élites dirigeantes est au centre de la passivité de tout le système de formation, particulière-ment dans les grandes écoles où le mode de raisonnement (fondé sur les mathématiques et leur abstraction) intériorisé par les élèves prime sur le contenu de connaissances dynamiques acquises lors de la formation. Pour de nombreux chercheurs et sociologues, cette manière de voir les choses est la cause principale du blocage de la société. La mathématisation des sciences sociales ne laissera aucune marge de liberté pour réfléchir à partir d’autres pistes méthodologiques. Tout doit transiter par les méthodes et les outils des mathématiques. Aucune discipline ne peut se valoir d’un quelconque statut scientifique si elle ne fait pas usage des mathématiques. Ainsi, est née « tyrannie de la pensée unique » dans les sciences sociales. La relation étroite entre mathéma-tiques et sciences sociales, impose un constat sévère : la société est tota-lement bloquée malgré la géométrisation des esprits des élites par les mathématiques.
