المستخلص: يهدف البحث الحالي إلى التعرف على دور رؤساء الأقسام الأكاديمية بالجامعات المصرية في استثمار رأس المال الفكري كأحد متطلبات اقتصاد المعرفة. وقد اعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي من خلال تطبيق استبانة للتعرف على أهمية دور رؤساء الأقسام الأكاديمية في استثمار رأس المال الفكري كأحد متطلبات اقتصاد المعرفة، ومدى ممارستهم لهذا الدور من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، ومدى اختلاف تلك الآراء باختلاف بعض المتغيرات. وقد أسفر البحث عن مجموعة من النتائج من أهمها: - أن درجة أهمية دور رئيس القسم الأكاديمي في استثمار رأس المال الفكري جاءت بدرجة كبيرة من وجهة نظر أفراد العينة. - عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات أفراد العينة حول درجة أهمية دور رؤساء الأقسام الأكاديمية في استثمار رأس المال الفكري باختلاف متغير النوع والجامعة والكلية والوظيفة الأكاديمية. - أن درجة ممارسة رؤساء الأقسام الأكاديمية في الجامعات المصرية لدورهم في استثمار رأس المال الفكري جاءت بدرجة ضعيفة. - عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية حول درجة ممارسة رؤساء الأقسام الأكاديمية في الجامعات المصرية لدورهم في استثمار رأس المال الفكري باختلاف متغير النوع، والكلية، بينما توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية باختلاف متغير الجامعة، والوظيفة الأكاديمية.

The current research aims to identify the role of heads of academic departments in Egyptian universities in investing intellectual capital as one of the requirements for the knowledge economy. The research relied on the descriptive approach through the application of a questionnaire to identify the importance of the role of academic department heads in investing intellectual capital as one of the requirements of the knowledge economy and the extent of their practice of this role from the viewpoint of the faculty members and the extent of the difference of these opinions according to some variables. The search resulted in a set of results, the most important of which are: - The degree of importance of the role of the academic department head in investing intellectual capital came largely from the viewpoint of the sample members. - There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample individuals on the degree of importance of the role of academic department heads in investing intellectual capital according to the difference between the gender variable, die university, the college and the academic position. - The degree of practice by heads of academic departments in Egyptian universities for their role in investing intellectual capital was weak. - There are no statistically significant differences about the degree of practice of academic department heads in Egyptian universities for their role in investing intellectual capital according to the different gender and college variables, while there are statistically significant differences according to the university variable and the academic position.
