المستخلص: تركز الدراسة الحالية على توظيف تحليل الخطاب النقدي في دراسة الخطابات السياسية لرئيسة الوزراء السابقة تيريز مي، وعليه فالهدف الأساس من الدراسة الحالية هو لتحقق من الوسائل اللغوية والبلاغية في الخطابات السياسية لتيريزا مي. ولقد تم اختيار عشرة خطابات سياسية من الانترنيت، وهذه الخطابات السياسية تم اختيارها لفترة من (2015م- 2019) والإجراء المتبع لتحليل هذه الخطابات السياسية هو نموذج نورمان فيركلف ذو الأبعاد الثلاث (2001).. وهو منهج متعدد الاختصاصات الذي يتناول النص من ثلاث مستويات مختلفة وهي المستوى النصي، المستوى الخطابي والمستوى الاجتماعي.. ومن أهم الاستنتاجات التي توصل لها الباحث هو أن الخطابات السياسية لتيريزا مي تتصف بكونها غنية باستخدام المفردات والتراكيب النحوية، والوسائل الخطابية والمناسبات السياسية. فعلى المستوى الخطابي هي تحاول أن تبشر بالعدالة والمساواة والإنصاف وكذلك إن الخطابات السياسية تعزز الروابط الخطابية في توحيد الخطابات وتعبر عن موقفها بشكل منطقي بطريقة مؤثرة، وكذلك فإن التحليل الاجتماعي يظهر بان مي تريد أن ترسل رسائل متعددة لفئات جماهيرية مختلفة من أجل التأكيد على الثقة بالنفس ومواجهة المجاميع الإرهابية، ولتعبير عن الشعور بالامتنان وللتصريح بالقوة وإظهار أن بريطانيا هي دولة قوية جداً.

The present study is concerned with utilizing a discourse approach to investigate Mary's ideological speeches. The main aim of the current study is to investigate the linguistic and rhetorical devices in the political speeches delivered by the British Prime Minister, Theresa May. Thus, ten political speeches have been selected from the internet for the reference period of 2015 to 2019. The researcher adopted Norman Fairclough’s approach three–dimensional model (2001) which is an interdisciplinary approach that deals with the text on which is divided into three phases: the textual level, the discourse practice analysis level, and the social analysis level. In conclusion, May's political speeches are very rich so far as critical discourse analysis is concerned. It is found that the textual analysis level reveals that vocabulary items and grammatical structure suggest that the prime minister wants to preach justice, equality, and impartiality and her discourse analysis suggests that she wants to reinforce cohesive ties in spoken political discourse as well as she tries to express her attitudes logically effectively and discursively. Likewise, her social analysis suggests that she wants to send different messages to different audiences to emphasize self-confidence, to confront terrorist groups, to express gratitude and appreciation and to declare strength, and to show that the British are a very strong nation.
