المستخلص: This anthropological research deals with the study of white wormwood that spreads in various regions of the Aures in particular. The aim is to know its shape and different names, where it is widely spread, and uncover its areas of use especially in folk medicine to treat diseases throughout the ages in Aures region. First the concepts on the subject were defined, and then the description of the plant, the history of its designation in general, and then the regions of its spread in Aures, the domains of its use and some of the methods of treatment in Aures.

Cet article est une ébauche de recherche anthropologique sur l’utilisation de l’armoise blanche en médecine traditionnelle dans les Aurès (Algérie). Cette plante, qui est répandue dans diverses régions de l’Aurès en particulier, mérite d’être étudier afin de connaître ses différentes appellations, son milieu de vie, et de révéler son utilisation en médecine traditionnel à travers les différentes époques dans les régions d’Aurès. D’abord les concepts sur le sujet ont été définis, puis la description de la plante, l’histoire de sa désignation en général, puis les régions de sa propagation en Aurès, les domaines de son utilisation et certaines des méthodes de traitement en Aurès.
