المستخلص: The architecture in the valley of M'zab makes all what he could to create a building which is in line with the nature of the climate of this region; distinguishing the intense heat in summer and cold in winter. This interaction between the atmosphere and building materials formed an excellent architectural characteristics, which was always faithful to the traditions of Islamic architecture that were subject essentially a to Islamic teaching. According of their social needs, the M'zabites has constructed a variety of religious and civil buildings. Considering the community of M'zab a religious one, subject to the authority of spirits (halqa of Azzaba) whose given a special attention and interest to the religious buildings specially the funeral mosques. It is intended here by the funeral mosques: the architectural space that mediate the tombs in the valley of the M'Zab and perform the functions of a close relationship with the dead. These ones are located in graves which surround the city; so for what and why this particular site? and what is the role of these buildings? These mosques has taken a variety of forms: some are completely open, others are partially exposed, others also covered, so what are their patterns and types? Through this research, we'll try to answer the above questions in relation with the subject exposed.
