المستخلص: Cet article évalue l’impact de la santé sur la croissance économique en Algérie dans la période de 1974 à 2016 en utilisant l’approche autorégressive à retards échelonnés (ARDL) combinée avec les tests de stabilité tel que la somme cumulée (CUSUM);la somme cumulée des carrés (CUSUMQ) et la causalité de Granger. A l’aide de cette approche, nous parvenons aux résultats que l'impact de la santé est un phénomène à long terme et à court terme. La procédure du test des limites révèle également que la relation de cointégration est stable tout au long de la période d’étude. Ce résultat est confirmé après l’intégration des tests CUSUM et CUSUMSQ des résidus. Les résultats obtenus montrent par ailleurs, que la santé cause la croissance en Algérie par le biais de l’augmentation de l’espérance de vie à la naissance.

This article evaluates the impact of health on economic growth in Algeria during the period from 1974 to 2016 based on the autoregressive approach with lags (ARDL) and stability tests such as cumulative sum (CUSUM); Cumulative sum of squares (CUSUMQ) and Granger causality test. Using this method, we found that health impact is at long and short-term phenomenon. The boundary testing procedure also reveals that the Cointégration relationship is stable throughout the study period. This result is confirmed after the integration of the CUSUM and CUSUMSQ residues tests. The obtained results also show that health causes growth in Algeria through the increase in life expectancy at birth.
