المستخلص: This study aims to understand the interaction between public spending and economic growth in Algeria. We used the ARDEL approach for the period from 1970 to 2021. Our results confirm the existence of a cointegration relationship between public spending and economic growth. Public spending positively influences growth in the long run, however the impact seems to be rather negative in the short run.

Cette étude vise à comprendre l’interaction entre les dépenses publiques et la croissance économique en Algérie. Nous avons utilisé l’approche ARDEL pour la période allant de 1970 à 2021. Nos résultats confirment l’existence d’une relation de co intégration entre les dépenses publiques et la croissance économique. Les dépenses publiques influence positivement la croissance à long terme, néanmoins l’impact semble être plutôt négatif à court terme.
