|b We tried through this study for to clear the dust from our literary heritage, then we follow the most important scientific production of our ancestors, also their literary influence which influenced the literary treasury in the Maghreb area, as well as entire Islamic world. Throughout the Hafsid period there were unstable political events, as a result of internal problems and the power struggle by many princes, in addition to appearance of the Christian Recovery Movement which began to align the southwestern coasts of the Mediterranean Sea. So, the problem asks itself: Did those disturbances have a role in relation to the breakdown of literary life? is it possible to emerge a scientific or a literary movement in such a situation? and at that time, have the writers, the poets and the linguists appeared to lead the literary life? We discussed the problem with three broad points: 1- The literary heritage of the region before the Hafsid era. 2- The rise factors of literary life in the region. 3- Aspects of the literary life in the region. (With a brief introduction of many famous writers and poets).
