|a تسعى هذه الورقة البحثية إلى معرفة مدى فاعلية اللعب ودوره في تدريس مهارة القراءة، وذلك من خلال تحليل ونقد لأنشطة: "ألعب وأقرأ" المقرر على تلاميذ السنة الأولى من التعليم الابتدائي. وقد توصلت الدراسة أن لهذا النشاط دور كبير في التدرب على مهارات القراءة ويمكن عن طريقه تحقيق العديد من شروط التعلم، كما أنه أثبت فاعليته في رفع دافعية المتعلمين وشد انتباههم وتركيزهم، والتحسين من استيعابهم للمعارف والمعلومات وإدراكها، وبقاء أثر التعلم لأطول مدة ممكنة - ولكن؛ رغم كل هذه الإيجابيات التي يمكن تحقيقها عن طريق هذا النشاط، يعرف العديد من المعلمين عن تفعيله، وذلك لعدم وعيهم بأهميته، أو عدم معرفتهم لطرق استخدامه، وكذلك -في كثير من الأحيان- لعدم توفر الوسائل التعليمية المساعدة وكثرة عدد المتعلمين في القسم الواحد

|b This paper aims to find out the effectiveness of games and its role in teaching reading skills, through the analysis and criticism of the activities of "play and read" of the course for first year students of primary education. The study concluded that this activity plays an important role in the training of reading skills. It can provide many learning conditions. It has also proved effective in raising learners' motivation, focusing their attention, improving their understanding of knowledge and information, and maintaining the impact of learning for as long as possible. However, despite all the advantages that can be achieved through this activity, many teachers neglect it because they are unaware of its importance or lack of knowledge of its methods of use, and, in many cases, because of the lack of educational aids and the large number of learners in each section.
