Charles Baudelaire excels by venturing on a new terrain, the one where poetry mixes with prose. The first of which he was an apostle and the second which he tames and discovers as he wishes to experience it. It is done and successful thanks to the Spleen of Paris contained in the Petits poèmes en prose. There is still this melancholy peculiar to the poet in particular and to the century in general. The prose will give a hint of bitterness and anguish in this flow peculiar to the «Evil of the century» and which gnaws from the inside the cursed poet who has always refused to be surrounded and embroiled by others or by the events of his epoch so melancholic. Charles Baudelaire excelle en s’aventurant sur un nouveau terrain, celui où la poésie se mélange avec la prose. A la première il était tributaire et la seconde il apprivoise et découvre comme il veut en faire l’expérience. Ses exploits et succès sont dû au roman « Le Spleen de Paris » composé dans des petits poèmes en prose. Il y a eu toujours cette mélancolie particulière du poète, en général. La prose donne un soupçon d’amertume et d’angoisse dans ce propre au « Mal du Siècle » et qui ronge l’intérieur du poète maudit qui a toujours refusé d’être entouré et mêlé d’autres ou par les évènements de son époque si mélancoliques. |
