|b The production of vegetable crops in Algeria has not benefited from a specific support policy for the development of production. However, a regulatory system is being put in place with a view to better stabilizing production meeting the criterion of "large consumption". In this article we will examine the evolution of market gardening during the period of analysis 2000- 2019. This study allowed us to conclude on the increase in the cultivated area and the production of different crops as well as the improvement of yields. In addition, the analysis of vegetable crops in the Saharan regions (Biskra and El Oued) has evolved significantly.

|d La production des cultures maraichères en Algérie n’a pas bénéficié d’une politique de soutien spécifique pour son développement. Toutefois, un système de régulation est mis en place dans la perspective d’une meilleure stabilisation de la production répondant au critère de « large consommation ». Dans cet article nous allons examiner l’évolution des cultures maraichères durant la période d’analyse 2000-2019. Cette étude nous a permis de conclure sur l’augmentation de la superficie cultivée et de la production des différentes cultures ainsi que l’amélioration des rendements. Par ailleurs, l’analyse de cultures maraichères au niveau des régions sahariennes (Biskra et El Oued) a fortement évolué.
