تروم هذه الدراسة قراءة نموذج حكائي للجاحظ بالكشف عن الأنساق الثقافية المضمرة في بنية الحكاية. وقد اتخذت الدراسة في هذا الصدد مسارين فاعلين هما: 1-مسار نظري يحدد المفاهيم التالية: النسق، والحكاية، والخطاب، كما بدت في النظرية النقدية المعاصرة، وتحديدا في كتابات: نيكلاس لومان Niklas Luhmann وجيرار جينت G. Genette، وفلاديمير بروب V. propp ورولان بارت Roland Barthes وغيرهم. 2-مسار إجرائي يجلي العلاقة التوترية بين الذات العربية والآخر الشعوبي الذي سعى إلى انتهاك قدسية "العصا" وخصوصيتها بوصفها مرجعية للمحمولات الثقافية والتاريخية في الفكر العربي. وفي هذا الإطار تمكنت القراءة الفاحصة في هذه الحكاية من الكشف عن الفاعليات النسقية التالية: إشراقات التاريخ أو تاريخ الفتوة، وجماليات الإكراه ونسقية العبور، والجسد المتعب وسلطوية العصا، وعتبات الخوف: التوتر والعصا الساحرة، وإرهاصات الجوع ونار الحياة، والمكان المدنس وحضارة العصا، والهوية الثقافية وفلسفة الثبات، والتغلبي المخاتل ومناقب العصا.
The main aim of this study is to discuss a narrative sample by Al-Jahidh in order to reveal the implied cultural patterns in the structure of the narrative. In order to achieve this aim, the study will be divided into two parts; A- The theoretical part that will make use of the modern literary theory in order to highlight the concepts of pattern, narrative, and discourse. The study will define these concepts by referring to some critics like: Niklas Luhmann, Arthur Asa Burget, Michel Foucault, Gerard Genette, Vladimir Propp, Roland l3arthes, and others. B- The practical part that will clarify the tension between the Arab ego and the Other that belongs to the People and seeks to violate the holiness of the “stick” and its uniqueness as a reference point to the historical and cultural implications in the Arab thought. As a result, the close reading of this narrative reveals the following patterns, history revelations or the history of youth, the aesthetics of using force and the patterned crossing over, the exhausted body and the authority of the stick, the thresholds of fear: tension and the magical stick, anticipation of hunger and the “fire” of life, the violated place and the civilization of the stick, the cultural identity and the philosophy of stability, The Cunning Attaghlibi and the traits of the stick.
