المستخلص: The study aimed to know the reality of the students of the Faculty of Sharia at Kuwait University using social networking sites, and to monitor the most important gratifications achieved from these uses. It also knows the most important implications of using these sites at the level of religious awareness and political awareness, as well as knowing the most important implications of their use on enhancing these students' belonging to the Islamic nation and their knowledge of the challenges and issues they face. The sample of the study consisted of (312) students of the College of Sharia. The results revealed that the WhatsApp application is the most used by students, that the number of hours of use exceeds an hour per day, and that they use social media at all times. And that the uses of these means for the purposes of (searching for information - social communication - genera! culture - following up the news - entertainment and Entertainment). The results also revealed that the sample's assessment of the impact of social media on their awareness of the challenges facing the nation and its renaissance came in first place, followed by their appreciation of its impact on developing a sense of belonging to the nation, and in third place their appreciation of its role in developing political awareness, and in fourth place came their appreciation of its role in developing. Religious awareness. The results also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences in the sample's estimates of the effects of social media sites regarding the development of religious awareness, political awareness, and a sense of belonging to the nation and the challenges that the nation is going through due to the gender variable and the variant of the scholastic division.
