المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى بناء برنامج تدريبي مستند إلى منحى ستيم STEAM وأثره على الأداء التدريسي لمعلمي المدارس الدولية في الأردن اللذين يدرسون باللغة الإنجليزية في ضوء إعدادهم الأكاديمي السابق، اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج شبه التجريبي والمنهج النوعي، حيث بلغ عدد أفراد الدراسة (٤٠) طالبا معلما ومعلمة وتم استخدام التعيين العشوائي: لتوزيع أفراد الدراسة إلى مجموعتين: تجريبية بعدد (٢٠) معلما ومعلمة تلقوا برنامجا تدريبيا قائما على منحى STEAM، وضابطة بعدد (20) معلما ومعلمة لم يتلقوا هذا التدريب. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم إعداد اختبارا لمهارات الأداء التدريسي وتم إعداد بطاقات ملاحظة. وتم التأكد من صدق وثبات الأدوات، وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسط علامات المجوعتين التجريبية والضابطة على اختبار مهارات الأداء التدريسي ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية. أيضا ما أظهرته نتائج بطاقة الملاحظة كان لصالح المجموعة التجريبية وفي ضوء ما أسفرت عنه الدراسة من نتائج قدمت الدراسة مجموعة من التوصيات أبرزها: دعم استخدام البرامج التدريبية القائمة على منحى STEAM من قبل المعلمين لما لها من أثر في رفع المهارات التدريسية للمعلمين.

The study aimed to identify the effect of a training program based on STEAM approach in instructional performance of the international schools teachers in Jordan whose teaching language is English in the light of their academic background. The study followed the semi- experimental approach and the qualitative one, and the study sample consisted of two experimental groups one of them studied according to the training program based on STEAM approach, while the control group didn’t get the training program. The number of teachers reached (40) teachers distributed by (20) teachers of the experimental group and (20 teachers of the control group. The educational Alhassad Schools were chosen in an intentional way to show the management of schools the necessary preparation to apply the study and provide assistance. To achieve the goals of the study, an instructional performance test and a note card were used. The results of the study showed the following: There were statistically significant differences between the mean marks of the two experimental groups that were trained using the STEAM-based training program and the control group goals that didn’t get the training on the instructional performance test and the note cards in favor of the experimental group. In light of the results of the study, the researcher presented a set of recommendations.
