المستخلص: اكتسب علم أصول التربية أهمية ومكانة تميز بها عن كثير من العلوم التربوية، نظرا لأنه العلم الذي يختص بدراسة النظم التعليمية في الدول المختلفة، حيث يمثل الأسس التي تقوم عليها العملية التربوية وتشتق منها مبادئها وأهدافها وتوجه عملياتها وممارستها، ويعكس فلسفة المجتمع وغاياته، وتشير الأدبيات إلى أن هذا التخصص يشوبه بعض القصور في جوانبه التدريسية والبحثية والمجتمعية، لذا هدفت الدراسة إلى تطوير تخصص أصول التربية، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، وتناولت الدراسة وصف الواقع وتحليله للبحوث التربوية في أصول التربية من خلال التحليل الرباعي (SWAT Analysis)، ثم طرحت الباحثة رؤية مستقبلية لتطوير تخصص أصول التربية.

Foundations of education has acquired an importance and a position that distinguishes it from many educational sciences, given that it is the science that specializes in studying educational systems in different countries, as it represents the foundations on which the educational process is based and from which its principles and objectives are derived and directs its operations and practices. It reflects the society's philosophy and goals, and the literature indicates that this specialization has some shortcomings in its teaching, research and societal aspects. Therefore, the study aimed to develop the specialization of pedagogy in the light of modern trends. The study used the descriptive approach. In its theoretical framework. Description and analysis of the reality of educational research in the foundations of education through SWAT analysis, then the researcher presented a future vision for the development of the specialization of foundations of education.
