مر استخدام تقنيات المعلومات في العملية التعليمية بتطورات متباينة، وكان لهذا الاستخدام أثر واضح في مجال تعليم المكتبات والمعلومات، لأنه طريقة فعالة تساعد على حل الكثير من المشكلات التعليمية وتحقيق أهداف العملية التعليمية بمواكبة النظرة التربوية الحديثة التي تعد المتعلم محور العملية التعليمية وتسعى إلى تنميته. حيث أرادت الباحثة التعرف على واقع استخدام تقنيات المعلومات في تعليم علوم المكتبات والمعلومات بقسم المكتبات والمعلومات بجامعة النيلين، ومدى توفير التدريب التقني، والصعوبات التي تواجه ذلك. استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في عرض موضوع استخدام تقنية المعلومات بجميع أنواعها وتطوراتها في تعليم المكتبات والمعلومات. من أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة هي أن هناك استخدام مرتفع لأهم تقنيات المعلومات، وأكثرها أهمية للاستخدام في تعليم علوم المكتبات والمعلومات هي شبكة الإنترنت، ويليها في الترتيب البريد الإلكتروني، ثم استخدام الأقراص المدمجة، ثم التعليم بواسطة الحاسوب ثم نظام نقل الملفات، أيضا عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استخدام تقنية المعلومات في تعليم المكتبات والمعلومات ومدى توفير التدريب التقني اللازم للطلاب والطالبات. ومن المعوقات قلة الأجهزة وعدم تجهيز المعامل بالصورة المطلوبة. أوصت الباحثة بضرورة التخطيط لاستخدام تقنيات المعلومات في تعليم المكتبات والمعلومات بشكل منهجي منتظم، وأهمية إعداد قاعدة بيانات لذلك لتسهل عملية تحديد الاحتياجات الخاصة بطلاب القسم، والتخطيط لخدمات نظم المعلومات والتوزيع الأمثل للإمكانات والموارد الخاصة بتقنيات ونظم المعلومات. ولتتبنى استراتيجية تعليمية معتمدة على التقنيات الحديثة، يجب زيادة التنسيق والتعاون بين الإدارة والقسم لتأهيل الشبكة والمعامل وأدوات تقنيات المعلومات.
The use of information technologies in the educational process has gone through different developments, and this use has had a clear impact in the field of library education and information, because it is an effective method that helps to solve many educational problems and achieve the objectives of the educational process by keeping pace with the modern educational outlook that the learner is the focus of the educational process and seeks to develop it. The researcher wanted to learn about the reality of the use of information technologies in the education of library science and information in the Department of Libraries and Information at The University of AL Neelain, and the extent of providing technical training, and the difficulties facing it. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach to present the use of information technology of all kinds and its developments in library and information education. One of the most important findings of the study is that there is a high use of the most important information technologies, the most important for use in the education of library science and information is the Internet, followed in the order of e-mail, then the use of CDs, then computer education and then the file transfer system, also the absence of statistically significant differences between the use of information technology in library education and information and the extent to which technical training is provided to students. One of the obstacles is the lack of equipment and the failure to equip the factories with the required image. The researcher recommended the need to plan the use of information technologies in the education of libraries and information systematically, and the importance of preparing a database for this to facilitate the process of identifying the needs of section students, planning information systems services and optimal distribution of capabilities and resources for information technologies and systems. In order to adopt an educational strategy based on modern technologies, there must be increased coordination and cooperation between management and department for network rehabilitation, laboratories and IT tools.
