المستخلص: يعد التصميم لغة اتصال قابلة للحوار مع المتلقي بل وتؤثر فيه، لذا يتطلب من القائمين على تصميم الأقمشة جماليا أن تكون لديهم خبرة ومهنية ودراية كافية بهذه العملية، من هنا تجد الباحثة أن مشكلة البحث تكمن في قلة استخدام الرموز في الأزياء البابلية واقتصارها على الشراشيب والخطوط الطولية وبعض الأشكال البسيطة أمثال الدائرة وغيرها. وانطلاقاً من اعتزازنا بالموروث الحضاري في تصاميم الأقمشة العراقية ونظرا لما يتعرض له مجتمعنا من غزو فكري وحضاري من ناحية وإغراق أسواقنا التجارية بالبضائع الأجنبية التي تحمل مفاهيما غربية، فقد جاء هذا البحث كمساهمة علمية لدراسة القيم الجمالية لتصميم رموز الزي البابلي، وجاءت أهمية البحث انطلاقا من دور مصمم الأقمشة الذي يجب أن يمتلك الجانب الذوقي الجمالي ويستطيع أن يوظف هذا التصميم في الزي بحيث يعطي لهذه التصميمات تفاعلا، وبإمكانه أن يسهم في تطوير الصناعة الوطنية ورفع مستوى الإنتاج النوعي والكمي من خلال الإفادة من النتائج. أما هدف البحث فهو التعرف على القيم الجمالية لتصميم الرمز في الزي البابلي. وقد حدد البحث على دراسة الرموز المستخدمة في الأزياء البابلية للعصر البابلي القديم وهو الحقبة الواقعة بين (1728 -1600) ق. م، هذا ما جاء في الفصل الأول، أما الفصل الثاني فقد احتوى على مبحثين (جمالية وتصميم الزي البابلي) و (دلالة رموز الأزياء البابلية). أما في الفصل الثالث فقد اعتمدت الباحثة في إجراءاتها على الخبراء والمختصين في مجال الفن ومناهج البحث وقد اتخذ البحث ضمن منهج الوصفي/ التحليلي تطوير فقرات استمارة تحديد المحاور الفنية حسب آرائهم ومن ثم الاتفاق على فقرات الاستمارة وتحليل نماذج العينة المختارة من موروث حضارتنا العراقية القديمة والتي كان عددها (6) نماذج تم عن طريق تحليلها الوصول إلى نتائج البحث (تحقيق هدف البحث) وقد خرجت الباحثة بمجموعة من القيم الجمالية ومن ثم وضعت المقترحات التي احتوت على مرتكزات مهمة للباحث ثم التوصيات النابعة من هدف البحث.

The design can be considered as a non-linguistic communication which can affect the recipient, so it is necessary for those who design the fabrics aesthetically to have the experience, proficiency and sufficient knowledge of this process. Therefore, the researcher has found that the problem of the research consists in the lack of the use of symbols in the Babylonian fashion and limited it to the shrubs and vertical and horizontal lines, and some simple forms such as circles and others. In light of our pride in the cultural heritage in the designs of Iraqi fabrics and in view of the cultural invasion to our society, on one hand, and a flood of foreign goods bearing western concepts in our market, on the other hand. This research came as a contribution to the study of the aesthetic values of the design of symbols on the Babylonian fashion. The designer of fabrics, who must possess the aesthetic taste, can employ the designs to make them attractive, and contribute to the development of national industry and raise the level of quality and quantitative production by the benefit of the results. The objective of the research is to identify the aesthetic values of the design of the symbol in the Babylonian fashion. The study is based on the study of symbols used in the Babylonian fashion in old Babylonian era, which is the period between 1728- 1600 BC. This is what is stated in the first section. The second section includes two sub-sections (aesthetic and design of the Babylonian fashion) and (Symbols of Babylonian fashion). In the third section, the researcher depends on the experts and specialists in the field of art and research methods taking a descriptive/ analytical approach to develop the items of the technical sides form according to their opinions as they agree on the items of the questionnaire and analyze the selected samples from the culture of our ancient Iraqi civilization.
