A political speech includes several factors that are majorly put in order to be reached to the minds of the audience, but they must be put in a way to serves the purpose of delivering the message addressed to the audience in a personal and original manner. The problem of the study is concerned in the case that political discourses contain ambiguous areas that formulate a problematic issue for translators. Neglecting the critical analysis of discourse represents a major problem that pays translators to non-appropriate translations. The study hypothesizes that CDA has a significant role within translation studies and the translation of political discourse. The study concludes that CDA contributes a great role in the process of translating political speeches. The translators, who apply the CDA of the SLTs, have succeeded in translating the texts. The study follows two models; Peter Newmark's Model (1988) is chosen for translation, and Teun van Dijk's Model (1993) is taken to be the model of CDA. |
