الأسرة: هي الدرع الحصين، وأهل الرجل وعشيرته، ويطلق على الجماعة يربطها أمر مشترك، وهي الوحدة الأولى للمجتمع التي تكون العلاقات فيها في الغالب مباشرة ويتم داخلها تنشئة الفرد ويكتسب فيها الكثير من المعارف والمهارات والميول واتجاهاته في الحياة ويجد فيها أمنه وسكنه، ولقد عنى ديننا الحنيف بإعداد ألاسرة وتهيئتها بشكل صحيح، وفق نظام متقن للأسرة من صنع العليم الخبير الذي يعلم خفايا الأمور قبل ظواهرها، فهو خالق الإنسان ويعلم أسراره وخصائصه، وإذا كانت الأسرة أساس المجتمع، فإن الزواج هو الأساس الأول الذي تتكون به الأسرة، ومن عناية الله وتكريمه للإنسان لم يجعله كغيره من المخلوقات يدع غرائزه تنطلق دون وعي، بل وضع له النظام الملائم الذي يحفظ نسله وكرامته ، كل ذلك لأنها المرتكز الأساسي في تكوين شخصية الفرد وتوجهاته العقدية وبناء القدرات الفكرية والمعرفية لديه من خلال التنشئة الأسرية وهي عملية تعلم وتعليم وتربية.
