المستخلص: Jérada, a city in eastern Morocco, is distinguished by an important industrial mining heritage. It flourished with the discovery and then the exploitation of its coalfield. The cessation of activities in 2001, apart from the thermal power station, gave way to substantial remains. The latter, like the period of coal mining, still litter the landscape inside or on the edge of the city center, reflecting all the components of past mining activity. The post-industrial phase is characterized by a number of questions whose answers are never simple. This industrial heritage deserves a safeguard and a promotion in a fair measure and especially in its real space. This contribution intends to expose a possible study approach, likely to open up new avenues of research, aimed at making this heritage profitable and culturally intelligent.

Jérada, ville du Maroc oriental se distingue par un important patrimoine industriel minier. Elle s'est épanouie avec la découverte puis l’exploitation de son bassin houiller. La cessation des activités en 2001, hormis la centrale thermique, a laissé place à des vestiges conséquents. Ces derniers, à l'image de la période d’exploitation du charbon, jonchent encore le paysage intramuros où à la lisière du centre-ville en reflétant toutes les composantes de l’activité minière passée. La phase post-industrielle se caractérise par un nombre de questions dont les réponses ne sont jamais simples. Ce patrimoine industriel mérite une sauvegarde et une valorisation dans une juste mesure et surtout dans son espace réel. Cette contribution entend exposer une éventuelle approche d’études, susceptibles d’ouvrir de nouvelles pistes de recherches, visant à rendre ce patrimoine rentable et intelligent culturellement.
