المستخلص: تعد التنمية هدف أساسي في دول العالم بشكل عام والدول النامية بشكل خاص، فهي عنصر أساسي للاستقرار والتطور الاجتماعي، حيث إنها تستهدف رفع مستوي الدخل الفردي للأفراد وزيادة الدخل المجتمعي ككـل وإعادة توزيع هذا الدخل على المجتمع بشكل عادل وبصورة تؤدي إلى التقليل من الفوارق. ظهرت التنمية في العصر الحديث، واهتمت به الدول الحديثة بشكل كبير، نظرا إلى الأثار الإيجابية التي تترتب عليها في جميع مجالات الحياة، وتأثيرها الحساس والمباشر في حياة أفراد المجتمع. فهي تعد عنصر أساسي للاستقرار والتطور الانساني والاجتماعي، فهي عملية تطور شامل أو جزئي مستمر تتخذ أشكالا مختلفة تهدف إلى الرقي بالوضع الإنساني إلى الرفاه والاستقرار والتطور بما يتوافق مع احتياجاته وإمكانياته الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والفكرية، وتعتبر وسيلة الإنسان وغايته. فهي عملية تغيير إرادية هادفة وشاملة لكل جوائب الحياة في مجتمع معـين من أجل نقل ذلك المجتمع إلي وضع اقتصادي واجتماعي وسياسي أفضل. فثمة اتفاق على أن الموارد البشرية لأية دولة تشكل رصيد شعبها من الطاقات والمهارات تلك التي يمكن استخدامها في إنتاج السلع والخدمات. ومن هنا يعتبر الإنسان هو محور عملية التنمية وغايتها، حيث أن العنصر البشري من أهم الموارد لأي دولة تسعي للنمو والتقدم. هدفت الدراسة إلى تنمية الأداء المهني للأخصائيين الاجتماعيين للتخفيف من المعوقات التي تواجههم في العمل بمجال الحماية الاجتماعية، استخدمت الدراسة منهج المسح الاجتماعي، وكانت أدوات الدراسة استبانة طبقت على عينة (١٠٨) من الأخصائيين الاجتماعيين العاملين بالوحدات الاجتماعية محافظة أسيوط.

Development is a primary goal in the countries of the world in general and developing countries In particular, as It Is an essential element for stability and social development, as it aims to raise the level of individual income for the individual and increase the income of the community as a whole and redistribute this income to the community In a fair and in a manner that leads to reducing the differences Development appeared In the modern era, and modem countries paid great attention to It, given the positive effects It has In all areas of life, and Its sensitive and direct impact on the lives of members of society. It is considered an essential element for stability and human and social development. It is a process of comprehensive or partial continuous development that takes various forms aimed at advancing the human condition to well-being, stability and development In line with Its economic, social and Intellectual needs and capabilities. It Is considered the human's means and end. It is a purposeful and comprehensive process of change In all aspects. Life In a particular society In order to transfer that society to a better economic, social and political situation. There Is agreement that the human resources of any country constitute the stock of its people of energies and skills that can be used in the production of goods and services. Hence, the human being Is considered the centerpiece of the development process and Its goal, as the human element Is one of the most Important resources for any country seeking growth and progress. The study aimed to develop the professional performance of social workers to alleviate the obstacles they face In working in the field of social protection. The study used the social survey method, and the study tools were a questionnaire that was applied to a sample of (108) social workers working in social units in Asslut Governorate.
