تمحور موضوع الدراسة حول التعرف على الكيفية التي عالجت بها الصحف الإلكترونية ظاهرة الاختفاء القسري في ليبيا وذلك من خلال دراسة تحليلية لصحيفتي (بوابة الوسط والمرصد) والتي تناولت هذه الظاهرة في العديد من مضامينها وتسليط الضوء عليها وكشف ملابساتها للرأي العام، وتحددت أهمية الدراسة في تقديم نتائج علمية للرأي العام حول أبعاد هذه الظاهرة وانعكاساتها وآليات المعالجة الصحفية ومدى تنوير المتلقي بخطورة مثل هذه الظواهر وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج من بينها، اعتماد صحف الدراسة على التصريحات الرسمية وشهادات أهالي الضحايا كمصدر رئيسي للحصول على المعلومات وبدرجة كبيرة حول ظاهرة الاختفاء القسري، وتبنت صحف الدراسة أسلوب استمالة المشاعر والعواطف في الأساليب الإقناعية المستخدمة في المعالجة الصحفية التي اعتمدت عليها بدرجة عالية جدا والذي اعتمده القائم بالاتصال في مخاطبة جهات مجهولة لمعالجة هذه الظاهرة، وقد أوصت الدراسة التركيز على الصحافة الاستقصائية في معالجة مثل هذه الظواهر ولا يقتصر دور الصحف الإلكترونية في نقل عمليات الاختفاء القسري دون الخوض في تفاصيلها والمساهمة في كشف الغموض عنها.
"The subject of the study focuses on identifying how the electronic newspapers dealt with the phenomenon of enforced disappearance in Libya through an analytical study of the two newspapers (Bawabat Al Wasat and Al Marsad), which dealt with this phenomenon in many of their contents and shed light on it and revealed its circumstances to public opinion. The importance of the study is determined by presenting scientific results to the public opinion about the dimensions of this phenomenon and its repercussions and the mechanisms of journalistic treatment, and the extent of informing the recipient of the seriousness of such phenomena. The study reached several results, including the dependence of the newspapers under the study on official statements and testimonies of victims’ families as the main source for obtaining information, to a large extent, about the phenomenon of enforced disappearance. The newspapers under the study adopted the method of inducing feelings and emotions in the persuasive methods used in the journalistic treatment, which relied on them to a very high degree, and which was adopted by the communicator in addressing unknown parties to address this phenomenon. The study recommended focusing on investigative journalism in addressing such phenomena. The role of electronic newspapers is not limited to reporting enforced disappearances without going into their details and contributing to uncovering their ambiguity.
