يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي في تأهيل الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة السمعية، وتمثلت مشكلة الدراسة في البحث عن الإجابة على التساؤل الرئيس التالي: ما هو دور الأخصائيين الاجتماعيين في تأهيل المعاقين سمعيا بمركز التأهيل الشامل بمحافظة جدة؟ وهدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على مفهوم الإعاقة السمعية وتصنيفها وطرق اكتشافها، وأساليب الوقاية منها. كما هدفت أيضا إلى تحديد الجهود المهنية للأخصائيين الاجتماعيين بمركز التأهيل الشامل بمحافظة جدة لتأهيل الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة السمعية، وكذلك التعرف على الصعوبات والمعوقات التي تواجه الأخصائي الاجتماعي بمركز التأهيل الشامل بمحافظة جدة في تأهيل الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة السمعية، ومن ثم تحديد العوامل التي تساهم في تطوير دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي بمركز التأهيل الشامل بمحافظة جدة في تأهيل الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة السمعية. وتكونت عينة البحث من (20) أخصائية اجتماعية من الأخصائيات الاجتماعيات بمركز التأهيل الشامل بمحافظة جدة، واستخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتمثلت أدوات البحث في استبانة لقياس دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي في تأهيل الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة السمعية، وتم استخدام البرنامج الإحصائي SPSS في معالجة البيانات. وأسفرت النتائج عن أن رفع الروح المعنوية للفرد المعاق سمعيا وتدعيم ثقته بنفسه من أهم الجهود المهنية للأخصائيين الاجتماعيين بمركز التأهيل الشامل، وتزويد الأسرة بالمعلومات الضرورية عن الإعاقة السمعية أقلها أهمية. كما أن تكليف الأخصائي الاجتماعي بمهام وظيفية ليست من اختصاصه من أهم الصعوبات والمعوقات التي تواجه الأخصائي الاجتماعي، وأقلها تأثيرا قلة الميزانية المالية الموضوعة لبرامج التأهيل. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى ضرورة العمل على زيادة الوعي لتغيير نظرة المجتمع السلبية تجاه المعاقين سمعيا؛ كأهم العوامل التي تساهم في تطوير دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي، حيث أن التنسيق بين الأجهزة الصحية في الدولة لتأمين الرعاية الصحية الكاملة للمعاقين سمعيا وفقا لاحتياجاتهم من أقل العوامل التي تساهم في تطوير دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي. وكذلك توصلت الدراسة إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أفراد العينة في محاور الدراسة وفقا لمتغير الحالة الاجتماعية، والمؤهل العلمي، والتخصص، وسنوات الخبرة. وفي ضوء النتائج تم تقديم مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات في مجال تأهيل الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة السمعية؛ ضرورة زيادة أعداد الأخصائيين الاجتماعيين العاملين في مجال رعاية ذوي الإعاقة السمعية، وعدم تكليف الأخصائي الاجتماعي بمهام خارج تخصصه، وكذلك العمل على تنمية مهارات الأخصائيين الاجتماعيين العاملين في مجال رعاية ذوي الإعاقة السمعية من خلال الدورات والبرامج التدريبية، ومن ذلك تعلم لغة الإشارة لسهولة التواصل معهم.
The research aims to identify the role of the social worker in the rehabilitation of persons with hearing disabilities, and the problem of the study was searching for an answer to the following main question: What is the role of social workers in the rehabilitation of the hearing impaired in the comprehensive rehabilitation center in Jeddah Governorate? The study aimed to identify the concept of hearing disability, its classification, methods of detection, and methods of prevention. It also aimed at identifying the professional efforts of social workers at the Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation in Jeddah Governorate to rehabilitate persons with hearing disabilities, as well as identifying the difficulties and obstacles facing the social worker at the Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation in the province of Jeddah in the rehabilitation of people with hearing disabilities, and then identifying factors that contribute to developing the role The social worker in the comprehensive rehabilitation center in Jeddah governorate in the rehabilitation of persons with hearing disabilities. The research sample consisted of (20) social workers from the social workers in the comprehensive rehabilitation center in Jeddah Governorate, and the research used the descriptive analytical approach, and the research tools were a questionnaire to measure the role of the social worker in the rehabilitation of persons with hearing disabilities, and the SPSS statistical program was used in data processing. The results revealed that raising the morale of the hearing impaired individual and strengthening his self-confidence is among the most important professional efforts of social workers in the comprehensive rehabilitation center, and providing the family with the necessary information about hearing impairment, the least important of them. Also, assigning the social worker with job tasks that are not within his competence is one of the most important difficulties and obstacles facing the social worker, and the least influencing it is the lack of the financial budget set for rehabilitation programs. The study also reached the necessity of working to increase awareness to change the negative society's view towards the handicapped, as the most important factors that contribute to the development of the role of the social worker, as coordination between health agencies in the state to secure full health care for the handicapped according to their needs is one of the least factors that contribute to the development of the specialist du Social. The study also found that there were no statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample members in the study axes according to the variable of marital status, educational qualification, specialization and years of experience. In the light of the results, a set of recommendations and proposals were presented in the field of rehabilitation of persons with hearing disabilities; the need to increase the number of social workers working in the field of hearing disabilities, and not to assign the social worker tasks outside his specialty, as well as work to develop the skills of social workers working in the field of hearing care Hearing disabilities through courses and training programs, including learning sign language for easy communication with them.
